We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Business Analyst / Specialist to support business insight and reporting initiatives across EQT’s Midstream and Growth Programs, including Engineering, Construction, Operations, Compliance, Growth, and Control Center. This role will serve as a key link between business operations, data analytics, and technology teams—developing actionable insights, enhancing reporting capabilities, and advancing EQT’s culture of data literacy and continuous improvement.
The Business Analyst / Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Business Insights & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards, scorecards, and reports to support.
strategic and operational decision-making across Midstream programs. - Partner with business leaders to translate requirements into data models, KPIs, and analytical frameworks that measure performance and progress against goals.
- Lead data validation and governance efforts to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency across systems and business units.
- Support integration and enhancement of EQT’s BI platforms and related enterprise reporting environments.
Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate closely with teams in Engineering, Construction, Operations, Compliance, Growth, and Control Center Programs to align insights with business needs.
- Support financial, operational, and engineering teams with ad-hoc analytics and scenario modeling to inform investment and operational decisions.
- Assist in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across asset portfolios through advanced data analysis and visualization.
Process and Capability Development
- Drive development of BI and reporting competencies within the business by training and mentoring team members on data tools, visualization techniques, and best practices.
- Champion a data-driven culture, fostering collaboration between field, engineering, finance, and IT stakeholders.
- Support the evolution of EQT’s Digital Work Environment (DWE) by aligning reporting solutions with enterprise systems and data standards.
Strategic and Project Support
- Provide analytical and project management support for strategic initiatives, including digital transformation, system optimization, and operational excellence programs.
- Partner with IT and Digital teams on BI roadmap initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and data integration priorities.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field required.
- 3–7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or operational analysis within the energy, utilities, or midstream sector preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting cross-functional business operations through analytics and reporting.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, or similar visualization tools; experience with Salesforce highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Python and R.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, SQL querying, and report automation.
- Strong understanding of machine learning and large language models.
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and enterprise data governance.
- Experience working with pipeline operations, asset management, or systems planning data is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Proven ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Passion for continuous learning, collaboration, and driving data-driven transformation.
- You can tell a story with data — translating technical findings into clear, compelling insights for business audiences.
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working across teams at all levels of the organization.
- Occasional travel may be required.
