Position Overview
The Line Cook at The Quoin plays a vital role in bringing our wood‑fired, Northern Italian–inspired menu to life. This position supports a high‑energy, design‑driven kitchen where precision, consistency, and respect for ingredients are essential. Ideal candidates are disciplined, detail‑oriented cooks who take pride in thoughtful technique, clean execution, and contributing to a smooth, collaborative service.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute dishes according to established recipes, plating standards, and wood‑fired cooking techniques
- Maintain strong mise en place and an organized, efficient station throughout service
- Assist with daily prep, stock rotation, and ingredient quality checks
- Communicate clearly with the culinary team to ensure timing, flow, and consistency
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols
- Support a positive, respectful, and team‑focused kitchen culture
- Participate in closing duties, cleaning tasks, and equipment care
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of professional kitchen experience preferred
- Strong knife skills and understanding of fundamental cooking techniques
- Experience with wood‑fired or high‑heat cooking is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
