American Terawatt is building a new industrial electric grid for the United States. Building infrastructure at our scale requires exceptional project management.

We design and deploy advanced power transmission systems, serving large industrial loads, hundreds of megawatts at a time.

Our systems deliver electric power to everything from frontier AI datacenters to highly automated manufacturing, refineries, mines, and more.

The backbone of American Terawatt’s network is based on long-distance HVDC transmission, anchored by software-defined ‘Macrogrids’ which actively manage local transmission between generation, storage, and loads.

The Role

As a Project Manager at American Terawatt, you will:

• Support delivery of transmission development projects on time and within budget, from groundbreaking through commissioning.

• Coordinate delivery of transmission hardware and support installation, testing, and commissioning activities across project sites.

• Help identify and resolve project issues before they become major schedule delays.

• Coordinate on-site testing and commissioning of deployed systems, coordinating across contractors, utilities, and internal teams.

Experience

This is a mid-level role ideal for someone with prior experience supporting energy, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects.

Required Experience

• Experience supporting construction or infrastructure projects involving contractors, EPCs, utilities, or industrial project teams.

• Experience helping manage construction schedules, contractor coordination, and project execution across multiple workstreams.

• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across field teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

• Familiarity with utility coordination, permitting, construction timelines, or infrastructure project execution is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in energy, power, utilities, or heavy industrial construction.

• Experience working with EPCs and general contractors in a variety of locations, particularly throughout the southwest (CA, NM, AZ, TX).

• Familiarity with high-voltage or long-distance transmission infrastructure deployment.

Position Details

This position reports directly to the Head of Project Management, and will be directly responsible as the on-the-ground lead on specific project sites, as well as managing delivery across all development.
