Wachter is accepting applications for a Senior Buyer to work in our Mt. Laurel, NJ office.

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Buyer where you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and procurement of goods and services required for the organization’s operations. This role involves working closely with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of products. The Senior Buyer will utilize their industry knowledge, negotiation skills, and analytical capabilities to maximize purchasing efficiency, ensure quality standards, and achieve cost savings.

### Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement:

Identify opportunities for bulk purchasing, negotiated discounts, and long-term vendor agreements to maximize savings.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
Manage all purchasing activities for high-value contracts and critical suppliers.
Resolve issues and discrepancies with vendors related to product quality, delivery or payment terms.
Establish, maintain and evaluate relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment of goals, expectations, and delivery schedules.
Provide recommendations to management on improvements in procurement processes and cost savings opportunities.
Work with internal and external stakeholders on vendor programs.
Act as a trainer and mentor for junior purchasing team members.

### Requirements:

Experience: 3–5 years in procurement roles.
Systems: Proficiency in ERP software.
Tools: Strong command of MS Office and Outlook. [1]

Preferred Qualifications

Software: Experience with ServiceNow.
