We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to oversee, manage, and coordinate operational aspects of department-level projects with significant impact across multiple organizations. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between project teams and leadership while ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills who can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of assigned projects, including planning, implementation, monitoring, completion, and follow-up activities.
  • Maintain and manage master project plans, schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and act as liaison between project teams, management, department heads, and stakeholders.
  • Manage competing priorities and ensure critical milestones are achieved.
  • Track and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and financial activities.
  • Identify potential schedule delays, risks, or changes and assess associated cost and resource impacts.
  • Develop solutions to project-related scientific, operational, productivity, quality, and client satisfaction issues.
  • Support technical, financial, and organizational initiatives through research, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Develop and implement project management tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms to support informed decision-making.
  • Generate periodic project updates, reports, dashboards, and formal presentations for leadership meetings and forums.
  • Recommend and implement operational or process improvements to enhance project team performance and effectiveness.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with applicable domestic regulatory requirements, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings, initiatives, and related special projects.
  • Anticipate resource requirements and communicate needs proactively to leadership.
  • May supervise project support staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and career guidance.
  • Lead or participate in focus area initiatives related to project management and operational excellence.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree with 2+ years of Project Management experience; OR
  • Master’s degree with 4+ years of Project Management experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of Project Management experience; OR
  • Associate degree with 10+ years of Project Management experience; OR
  • High School Diploma/GED with 12+ years of Project Management experience.

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering preferred:
    • Chemistry
    • Biology
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Biotechnology Engineering

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with Change Control processes.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively under time-sensitive conditions and deadlines.
  • Experience working in cross-functional or matrix environments.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and reporting.
  • Self-starter with strong leadership, strategic thinking, persistence, tact, and influence skills.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Capable of professional growth and increased responsibility.

    • Ariba Sourcing and Contracting Modules
    • Project management tools and systems
