Our client is a fast-growing company seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations while helping improve financial systems and workflow efficiency. The company is focused on optimizing internal processes through modern accounting platforms, automation tools, and AI-driven operational improvements.

Location

Fully-Remote (Work from Home) | 9 AM – 3 PM EST | Part-Time (30 Hours/Week)

Role Overview

The Bookkeeper will manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting while helping optimize accounting systems and automate workflows using tools such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, and AI platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping Management

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections

  • Process invoices, manage customer contracts, and maintain organized financial records

  • Utilize QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Excel for daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and reporting

AI Integration & System Optimization

  • Leverage AI tools such as Claude and Lovable to improve workflows and operational efficiency

  • Identify opportunities to optimize accounting processes and reduce manual tasks through automation

Vendor Management

  • Ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time

  • Manage communication with vendors and external accounting firms

  • Resolve discrepancies related to invoices and vendor payments

Reporting & Month-End Closing

  • Complete monthly reconciliations and generate accurate financial reports

  • Maintain organized financial documentation and reporting processes

  • Provide timely financial updates and reports to leadership

Process Improvement & Systems Setup

  • Develop and implement systems for maintaining accurate financial records

  • Proactively recommend and implement operational and accounting workflow improvements

Qualifications

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles

  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Excel

  • Experience with AI tools such as Claude or Lovable is a plus

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

  • Ability to work independently and improve existing systems and processes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable managing financial operations in a fast-paced environment

  • Process-oriented mindset with strong follow-through and accountability
