IBMC is assisting a leading international Lifestyle & F&B Brand Group headquartered in Singapore, with an established presence across Southeast Asia. Their diverse portfolio spans premium F&B, Beauty, Wellness, Art, and Retail concepts. As they launch their strategic expansion into the Indonesian market, they are seeking an exceptional HR professional to build, lead, and shape their local organizational foundation.

We are seeking an independent, strategic, and highly hands-on HR Manager to lead the setup and end-to-end management of HR operations in Indonesia. Acting as the strategic partner to the overseas HQ, you will have total ownership over building the HR framework from scratch. This role requires a unique combination of compliance expertise (Indonesian Manpower Law) and recruitment strategy to support the scaling of multi-outlet F&B and lifestyle operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Framework & Strategy: Establish the complete HR infrastructure for Indonesia from scratch, including corporate policies, employment contracts, onboarding systems, and HR process automation.
  • HQ Alignment & Reporting: Act as the local bridge to the regional HQ, coordinating cross-border payroll architectures, regional reporting, and aligning global group policies with local legal mandates.
  • F&B Talent Acquisition: Lead the full-cycle recruitment and build a robust talent pipeline for both Front-of-House (FOH), Back-of-House (BOH), and outlet management levels for upcoming venue launches.
  • Legal Compliance & Risk: Provide expert advisory to regional leadership on Indonesian Labor Law (UU Ketenagakerjaan), handling statutory benefits, employment structures, disciplinary cases, and corporate risk mitigation.
  • Compensation & Workforce Planning: Benchmark local market salaries and benefits specifically for the F&B/retail sector to recommend highly cost-efficient workforce structures.
  • Data & Analytics: Monitor labor costs, employee productivity, and hiring efficiency to provide leadership with sharp workforce analytics and strategic recommendations for expansion.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, which must include multi-outlet F&B, retail, or hospitality industries.
  • Phase Alignment: Proven track record as an ex-HRBP or Standalone HR professional during a startup, market entry, or rapid expansion phase. Experience setting up an HR department from scratch is critical.
  • Legal Mastery: Deep, up-to-date knowledge of Indonesian Manpower Laws and statutory frameworks.
  • Autonomy: Absolute capability to operate independently without an existing local HR team, managing both high-level strategy and daily administrative tasks.
  • Language: Fluent, professional-level English is mandatory for daily reporting and communication with the overseas HQ.
  • Location: Flexible/willing to work in Jakarta or Bali, varying based on project launch locations.
