Our client URGENTLY requires a Senior Environmental Officer for a 58 months + Contract in Deagon, Brisbane.
The Senior Environmental Officer will deliver dedicated environmental support to the Gateway to Bruce Upgrades (G2BU) projects, supporting the delivery of a complex, multi-billion-dollar transport infrastructure program. You will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent environmental workstreams and assisting with the effective management of environmental risks, approvals and compliance obligations to support achievement of critical project milestones.
Skills and Experience required includes:
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the infrastructure design and delivery environments, particularly construction of major road projects.
- Degree qualification from a Tertiary Institute in Environmental Science, Cultural Heritage Management, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Support EPBC Act processes, including preparation, coordination and review of documentation for EPBC referrals, EPBC self-assessment requests, Public Environmental Reports and supporting technical material.
- A background in Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) will be highly desirable.
Government experience would be highly advantageous.
