This Role
The Fleet Supervisor helps manage and maintain the company’s vehicles (HGV/trucks) and equipment. This role ensures that all fleet operations run safely, smoothly, and efficiently. You will work closely with and report to the Fleet Manager, and provide regular updates from the Frankfurt site. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage daily vehicle (HGV/trucks) schedules to ensure smooth operations.
- Make sure vehicles are available and used efficiently for all tasks.
- Track vehicle movement, fuel usage, and driver activity.
- Supervise drivers and ensure they follow company rules and maintain valid licences.
- Schedule regular vehicle maintenance and arrange repairs when needed.
- Ensure all vehicles meet safety, legal, and environmental standards.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, insurance, and vehicle documents.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure working environment and support audits when required.
- Monitor costs such as fuel, maintenance, and repairs, and look for ways to reduce expenses.
- Prepare reports, maintain fleet data, and use tracking systems to monitor performance.
Requirements
Ability to be flexible in respect of work standards and demands. Capable of working under pressure at times and to strict deadlines. Ability to complete tasks. Resilient and able to deal with changing priorities. The successful candidate will be required to possess and demonstrate the following:
- Previous operational experience of Fleet (HGV/trucks) in a logistics environment
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English and German
- Time management skills with the competence to manage multiple priorities at once
- Proficient with MS Office skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
