The Role

We are seeking a Regional Director to lead our expansion into the San Francisco Bay Area. This leadership position is perfect for someone who enjoys entrepreneurship, is energized by building new initiatives, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in launching our STEM programs in the region and establishing NORY’s presence.

Expansion Plan & Target Locations

We are initially focusing on expansion into key areas, specifically San Francisco, and the South Bay (San Jose, Palo Alto, etc.). Candidates with knowledge of or connections in these communities will be especially valuable to this role. If you are located outside these areas, please be aware that travel within the Bay Area may be required to support the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Launch and Expansion: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for NORY’s expansion into the SF Bay Area, with a focus on launching 2026 summer camps.

  • Partnership Development: Forge partnerships with local schools, educational organizations, and community stakeholders to create strong, community-based camp locations.

  • Family Engagement and Outreach: Spearhead marketing and outreach initiatives to increase brand visibility and attract local families to the program.

  • Recruitment & Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a local team to ensure the delivery of high-quality STEM experiences.

  • Operational Management: Oversee daily camp operations, including budget management, P&L oversight, and regulatory compliance (permits, licensing, etc.).

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the NYC headquarters to share resources, ensure alignment, and implement best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Educational Program Management: Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational program management or a related field.

  • Growth & Expansion Experience: Proven track record of business expansion or educational program growth, ideally with successful partnership formation.

  • Leadership & Communication Skills: Demonstrated success in managing teams, fostering collaboration, and achieving operational goals.

  • Regional Expertise: Familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area educational landscape and the local community.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to develop and execute strategies in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Travel and Training

This role requires local travel within the SF Bay Area to engage with local communities, establish partnerships, and oversee camp locations. Periodic travel to NORY's NYC headquarters may be required for training, strategy sessions, and collaboration with the leadership team.

Training for this role will include a comprehensive onboarding program that will provide candidates with tools, best practices, and resources to successfully launch and manage NORY camps in a new region. This training will take place both virtually and in-person in NYC.

Travel and Training Support: Full travel reimbursement for required visits to NYC for training and strategy sessions.
