As an Infant Teacher, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate infant classroom focused on responsive caregiving, early learning, and individualized attention.
Daily responsibilities may include:
- Providing attentive, nurturing, and responsive care for infants in a licensed childcare setting
- Supporting infant development through sensory activities, tummy time, language-rich interactions, music, movement, and play-based learning experiences
- Following individualized feeding, sleeping, and care schedules for each child
- Maintaining a calm, safe, and engaging infant classroom environment
- Building strong relationships and open communication with families regarding daily routines, milestones, and developmental progress
- Maintaining classroom cleanliness, sanitization, and organization in accordance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and health and safety standards
- Supervising children at all times while maintaining safe teacher-to-child ratios
- Collaborating with fellow teachers and center leadership to support a positive and team-focused childcare environment
- Assisting with diapering, bottle preparation, feeding, and daily infant care routines
- Supporting a classroom culture centered around warmth, patience, safety, and developmental growth
- Massachusetts EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification required
- Previous experience working in an infant classroom, daycare, childcare center, or early childhood education setting preferred
- Strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for infants
- Strong communication, teamwork, and professionalism
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day, including lifting, bending, sitting on the floor, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities
