Symmetrio is recruiting an experienced Revenue Cycle Manager for our customer, a Series C healthcare technology (SaaS) company serving community cancer practices across the US. Candidates must have deep expertise in medical oncology billing to support and optimize revenue cycle operations. The Revenue Cycle Manager will bring both hands-on billing knowledge and team leadership experience to drive performance, resolve complex reimbursement issues, and ensure compliance across oncology-specific billing workflows.

This is a 6 month contract position, with potential to extend contract or convert to FTE.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including coding, charge capture, billing, AR, and collections within oncology services
  • Manage and support billing staff; provide coaching, workflow oversight, and performance monitoring
  • Ensure accurate billing for oncology-specific services (e.g., infusion, drug administration, J-codes, prior authorizations)
  • Identify and resolve denials, underpayments, and payer-specific issues, especially across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans
  • Analyze KPIs (e.g., days in AR, clean claim rate, denial rates) and implement process improvements
  • Partner with clinical, finance, and compliance teams to ensure proper documentation and regulatory adherence
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and oncology billing regulations
  • Optimize revenue cycle systems and workflows; recommend best practices and efficiencies

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of revenue cycle experience, with a strong focus in medical oncology billing
  • Prior management or supervisory experience required
  • Deep knowledge of oncology coding and billing, including chemotherapy/infusion services and drug reimbursement
  • Strong understanding of payer rules, reimbursement models, and denial management strategies
  • Experience working with EMR/PM systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, OncoEMR preferred)
  • Proven ability to analyze data and drive measurable improvements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
