Coach Driver – Airside Operations

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the operation, safely transporting passengers between terminal and aircraft while delivering a high standard of service. Every day brings something different, with a dynamic atmosphere that keeps things interesting and rewarding.

The Role:
As a Coach Driver, you’ll work closely with teams across the airport, including airline representatives and ground staff, to ensure a smooth and efficient service. Strong teamwork and communication are key, as you help coordinate passenger movements and respond to operational demands in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out pre-trip vehicle checks to ensure coaches are safe and ready for operation
  • Transport passengers safely and efficiently between aircraft and terminal
  • Deliver a professional and friendly experience for all passengers
  • Prioritise safety at all times while driving and assisting passengers
  • Check vehicles before and after trips for any lost belongings
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the coach interior and exterior
  • Communicate any delays, issues, or updates to your supervisor promptly
  • Report any faults or maintenance issues as they arise
  • Adhere to uniform and safety standards, including high-visibility gear
  • Support the wider team with additional duties when required

Requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Full Category D Licence: Must hold a valid, unrestricted Category D licence to operate passenger coaches
  • Minimum Age 18: Applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • Pass a 5-Year Security Background Check and Garda Vetting Process: Must pass a 5-year background check and Garda vetting
  • Right to Work: Must have full legal eligibility to live and work in the EU
  • English Communication Skills: Strong written and spoken English required
  • Flexible for Shift Work: Available for rostered shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to Work Well Under Pressure: Able to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced airport environment
  • Reliable & Punctual: Strong attendance and timekeeping is essential
  • Professional Appearance: Must adhere to SHP grooming and uniform standards

Contract & Hours:

Join a supportive and collaborative team at Sky Handling Partner, where your commitment to safety and service is genuinely valued and rewarded.

This is a full-time, permanent Coach Driver position with a six-month probation period to ensure the right fit for both you and the team. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of €17.53–€17.70, with overtime paid at time and a half.

We operate on a 4 on, 2 off shift pattern, based on a standard 37.5-hour week. Overtime is regularly available, providing great opportunities to increase your earnings. Shifts may include early starts, late finishes, and weekends, offering a dynamic and varied working environment.
