  • Serve as the primary liaison to external counsel, managing relationships, budgets, and synthesizing advice into clear, pragmatic recommendations.

  • Lead or support special projects such as international expansion, new product or service launches, and external strategic partnerships that support business expansion (e.g., EU AI Act compliance).

  • Drive legal and operational initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce friction, and enable the company to scale responsibly.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Hold a JD and licensed to practice in New York

  • Qualified lawyer with 4–8 years’ post-qualification experience, gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house at a high-growth organization.

  • Familiarity with data privacy and AI regulation (CA, IL, and EU preferred)

  • Strong understanding of regulatory and commercial legal frameworks, preferably within technology and pharmaceutical industries

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.

  • Experience managing external counsel and delivering clear, business-oriented legal advice to senior stakeholders.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and solutions-driven approach.
