About the role
As a Production Scheduler at Metecno PIR, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and timely production of the company's high-quality insulation products. This full-time position is based at our Acacia Ridge facility and will involve managing the production schedule to optimise workflow output, minimise waste, and meet customer demands.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer orders and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks
- Monitor production progress and make adjustments to the schedule as needed to maintain efficiency
- Communicate regularly with sales, customer service, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely updates
- Analyse production data to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased productivity
- Support the implementation of new systems and technologies to enhance the scheduling and planning function
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a production scheduling or planning role, preferably in a continuous manufacturing industry
- Experience scheduling production for multiple production sites an advantage
- Candidates with single-site production scheduling experience will also be considered
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to quickly identify and resolve scheduling issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in using production scheduling software (Pronto) and other relevant tools
- Pronto software experience preferred but not essential
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as operations management, industrial engineering, or logistics
