Graduate Production Engineer | Polypipe
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Production Engineer to join our Manufacturing team at PolyPipe. This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate who is looking to build hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while developing strong technical, analytical, and continuous improvement skills.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role supports production operations through preventative maintenance and process optimisation while working cross-functionally on data analysis, system improvements, and project initiatives, including the implementation of lean systems, digital enhancements, and production efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in analysing production data, quality issues, and process performance
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, cost reduction, and waste minimisation
- Assist with preventative maintenance planning, basic maintenance data analysis, and equipment performance monitoring
- Work closely with production, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to resolve operational issues
- Support procurement, inventory coordination, and material flow activities
- Maintain accurate production reports and documentation
- Promote and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements
About You
- Recently completed an Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar)
- Strong interest in manufacturing, production processes, and continuous improvement
- Analytical mindset with an interest in data, reporting, and problem‑solving
- Comfortable working on the production floor and engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands‑on approach
- High attention to detail with good time management skills
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a manufacturing environment
