About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life

This is a dedicated outpatient neurology role centered on memory care and movement disorders, where you’ll work closely with adult patients experiencing conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other cognitive or neurologic impairments. Your day will be structured, predictable, and focused on meaningful patient interactions rather than high-volume turnover.

You’ll evaluate patients, manage ongoing treatment plans, and provide continuity of care in a setting that allows for deeper clinical relationships. This role offers a balance of autonomy and collaboration, working alongside neurologists and a supportive clinical team while maintaining ownership of your patient panel.

Expect a steady clinic flow with a focus on thoughtful assessments, medication management, and patient/family education. This is an ideal environment for providers who enjoy cognitive neurology, longitudinal care, and making a tangible difference in patients’ quality of life.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Focus on memory care and movement disorders in a specialized outpatient setting
  • Predictable weekday schedule with no nights or weekends
  • Opportunity to build long-term patient relationships and continuity of care
  • Collaborative environment with neurology specialists
  • Meaningful work with a growing and underserved patient population
  • Balanced pace that supports quality care over volume

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong interest in neurology, memory care, or cognitive disorders
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Patient-centered approach with strong communication skills
  • Comfort managing chronic neurologic conditions
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuity of care

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations and patient assessments
  • Diagnose and manage memory-related and movement disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe and manage medications as appropriate
  • Provide patient and family education on disease progression and care plans
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
  • Collaborate with neurologists and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
  • Coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services when needed
  • Support continuity of care through follow-ups and long-term management

Required Qualifications

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license (or ability to obtain in Arizona)
  • Board certification as an NP
  • Experience in neurology, geriatrics, internal medicine, or a related field
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience in neurology or memory care
  • Exposure to movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease)
  • Experience in an outpatient specialty clinic setting
  • Comfort with chronic disease management in adult populations

This Role Is Likely a Fit If You…

  • Enjoy building long-term relationships with patients and families
  • Are interested in cognitive neurology and memory care
  • Prefer a structured, weekday outpatient schedule
  • Value a mix of autonomy and team collaboration
  • Take pride in delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care

This Role May Not Be a Fit If You…

  • Prefer fast-paced, high-acuity inpatient or emergency settings
  • Are looking for procedural-heavy or acute care work
  • Want variable scheduling, nights, or shift-based work
  • Prefer minimal patient follow-up or longitudinal care
  • Thrive in high-volume, rapid turnover clinic environments

Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to step into a focused neurology role where your work directly impacts patients navigating complex cognitive and neurologic conditions. You’ll be part of a supportive clinical environment that values thoughtful care, consistency, and collaboration.

If you’re looking for a stable outpatient role with meaningful patient relationships and a clear scope of practice, this position offers both professional fulfillment and work-life balance.
