At Sandfield, we build smart software solutions for top brands, and we're looking for a talented experienced Web Developer – UX/UI Design Specialist with at least five years of experience to join our team. The Role

In this role, you will be at the heart of our mission to deliver exceptional digital experiences through our internal products and bespoke solutions. You will collaborate with our team of over 100 developers to help them deliver user experiences that give our customers the edge. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design & UX Architecture: Design intuitive user interfaces and craft seamless user journeys for diverse digital products.
  • Research & Optimisation: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and refine design solutions using data.
  • AI-accelerated workflows: Explore and introduce AI-accelerated design workflows, from using LLMs to build and document design systems, to building AI-driven interactive prototypes that make requirements gathering more engaging
  • (AI) Prototyping: Create detailed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design mockups to guide development teams and stakeholders
  • Web Performance & SEO: Plan and structure web content and navigation to enhance search engine visibility and user findability.
  • Technical Documentation: Produce high-fidelity documentation and functional specifications, including interaction logic, responsive breakpoints, and design tokens.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the transition of designs into live web environments, performing QA to ensure visual and functional integrity.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the design process from initial brief through to live web environments, performing quality assurance to ensure visual and functional integrity. 
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship to other designers, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team.

Expertise & Requirements

  • Figma Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Figma for efficient prototyping and collaborative design.
  • Front-end Literacy: A strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern web frameworks to ensure design feasibility and smooth developer hand-off.
  • Cross-Platform Design: Proven ability to ensure cohesive experiences across mobile and web platforms.
  • Technical Collaboration: Expertise in collaborating with developers to optimise designs for web performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Business Alignment: Ability to collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to ensure designs meet both user needs and business objectives.
  • Human-Computer Interaction: Deep understanding HCI theories and the ability to apply these principles to optimise the interaction between users and software, ensuring interfaces are not only aesthetic but also cognitively efficient and accessible. 
  • Adaptability: A hands-on approach with the ability to adapt to different budgets and requirements across a variety of projects.
