Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for Bowser Drivers to join a well-respected and successful client at Bristol Airport. This job offers full time hours and overtime opportunities. This is a very enjoyable role with a great company providing fantastic conditions and facilities.

 

  • PLEASE NOTE: A Full UK Manual driving licence is required for this role, with no more than three points.

 

What's on offer:

  • Rate of pay: £13.00 once successful completion of training there will be £2.50 increase per shift

Key Duties:

  • Always maintain a safe working environment, especially when using equipment and PPE.
  • Ensure compliance in both airline and airport policies, reporting any deficiencies in the system or health & safety risks
  • Be responsible for competing the water service and the waste service on all aircrafts
  • Transporting cleaning materials and supplies to aircraft and removing waste and rubbish
  • Responsibility for consistently delivering the company’s high standards of service at all times.
  • Carrying out vehicle safety checks and water audits and to report any faults / damages to management
  • You will be operating airside, but with the willingness to work in any areas the business deems necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned may be expected, including cleaning duties on selected shifts

Full PPE will be provided.

Shift Hours:

 The Airport is operational 7 days per week, and candidates will be working on a 4 on 4 off rolling rota. You will be expected to work any of the following shifts:

Day 1: 1000-1700

Day 2: 1000-1700

Day 3: 1000-1700

Day 4: 1000-1700

 This could be subject to change!

Overtime is available!

 

Rate of Pay:

£13.00 per hour and once successful completed training, there will be an additional £2.50 per shift increase.

 

Requirements:

  • A Full UK Manual driving licence, with no more than three points endorsed, maintaining regular reports for inspection.
  • Experience driving a large vehicle is essential.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency of both written and spoken English.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain an Airside Pass and airside driving Permit, including competency checks where necessary. This will require a full 5-year work history, the right to work in the UK and a DBS check.
  • A positive pro-active “can do” attitude.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team.
