We are currently expanding our network of experienced Australian energy market professionals to support several strategic initiatives across energy trading, market operations, integration and transformation programmes.
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced consultants with strong exposure to the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM), energy trading operations and market systems environments.
The role will involve supporting a combination of:
- Energy market operating model initiatives
- Trading and risk transformation programmes
- ETRM/market systems implementation and optimisation
- Market operations and settlements
- Integration and reporting workstreams
- Data and analytics initiatives
- Business process and operational readiness activities
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Support design and optimisation of energy trading and market operations processes
- Work closely with trading, risk, operations and technology stakeholders
- Assist with integration of market systems, ETRM platforms and enterprise applications
- Support operational readiness, testing and market transition activities
- Contribute to reporting, reconciliation and risk visibility initiatives
- Participate in architecture, process and data discussions across front-to-back energy trading workflows
- Provide SME input into Australian energy market processes and regulatory considerations
Desired Experience
- Strong understanding of the Australian NEM environment
- Experience supporting physical energy market participants
- Exposure to:
- Generation portfolios
- Large industrial loads / consumption portfolios
- Renewable energy portfolios
- Retail or wholesale energy operations
- Experience with energy trading and risk processes
- Familiarity with market settlements, forecasting and operational workflows
- Exposure to ETRM or energy market systems environments
