By 2030, there will be over 250 million music creators globally, most locked out of physical formats due to high minimum runs and operational complexity. elasticStage solves this through patented on-demand vinyl and CD manufacturing technology, powering a free-to-use platform where creators can produce and sell physical releases worldwide with no upfront costs or minimum quantities.

Are you passionate about hands-on work and looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a vibrant industry? We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Operator to join our team and play a vital role in our production process. In this role, you will be an integral part of the team, learning to operate various machinery and equipment used in the vinyl record production process. Your focus on quality, problem-solving skills, and dedication will help us maintain the highest production standards. As part of this role, you’ll work on a rotating shift basis, which provides exposure to different aspects of our production processes and supports work–life balance for many team members. Our shift schedule includes:

  • Early Shift : 7 am - 3pm 8 hours - Monday - Friday
  • Late Shift : 2pm - 10 pm 8 hours- Monday - Friday
  • Night Shift : 9 pm - 6 am Monday - Thursday 2 weeks on 2 weeks off

We aim to provide reasonable notice of shift allocations and do our best to accommodate preferences where possible

Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Training: Learn to operate and maintain a variety of equipment and machinery used in our production process.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the production process, inspect materials and products for quality, and make precise adjustments to ensure top-notch results.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues, minimising downtime and ensuring efficient production.
  • Process Management: Follow established manufacturing processes and maintain accurate records of production jobs, materials used, and any issues encountered.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our production team to prioritise and fulfil production orders promptly, contributing to the timely delivery of products.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the organisation and management of supplies and materials to keep the production line running smoothly.
  • Career Development: Earn relevant qualifications and certifications as you grow in your role, with opportunities for further skill development and career advancement.

Requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or above.
  • A keen interest in the production process and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time to meet production deadlines.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials if required.
  • Flexibility to work in different shifts and weekends if necessary.

Desirable Skills

  • Ideally, experience or knowledge of Digital print and finishing is not essential.
  • Familiarity with vinyl records.

Work Location 

This role is onsite, based in our vibrant Elstree office (WD6), five days a week.
