Fortell is designing better hearing aids for life as it's meant to be heard. Traditional hearing aids make everything louder but they don't do enough to help the brain separate conversation from noise in the moments that matter. Fortell uses custom AI chips to help the brain decode speech in real time, lifting voices up above the chaos so people don't just hear, they understand.

We are backed by Thrive Capital, Valor Equity Partners, Founders Fund, Optum Ventures, Lux Capital, Vast Ventures, Good Friends, Positive Sum, Stonecroft, and Atreides Management. Our debut product is available now at Fortell Audiology on Park Avenue and 61st Street.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Coordinator to own the day-to-day operational workflows that keep our production line running smoothly. This role is the backbone of our manufacturing floor - you'll be the person who makes sure materials arrive, inventory is accurate, builds stay on schedule, and finished goods get out the door. This is a high-impact position for someone who thrives on process, precision, and the satisfaction of a well-run operation. This is a full-time role based out of our facility in Danbury, CT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate weekly manufacturing schedules and production builds, tracking dependencies across materials, staffing, and equipment readiness

  • Receive incoming materials and components, perform or coordinate incoming inspections, and document results and disposition

  • Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods and scrap, tracking levels and supporting reorder decisions

  • Coordinate shipment of finished goods to customers and outgoing shipments of parts and supplies, ensuring proper documentation and tracking

  • Manage preventive maintenance schedules and calibration tracking for manufacturing equipment, ensuring activities are completed on time and properly documented

  • Serve as a cross-functional link between production planning, supply chain, engineering, and quality

You're the right candidate if you have:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You find satisfaction in a reconciled inventory and a clean process

  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing operations, warehouse management, supply chain, or a similar hands-on logistics role

  • Experience working with inventory or ERP systems, or a demonstrated ability to learn them quickly

  • Clear, proactive communication skills. You're comfortable flagging issues before they become problems

  • An all-in mentality. You enjoy taking ownership of operational workflows

Preferred experience:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience

  • Experience with incoming inspection processes and material disposition workflows

  • Experience with installation qualification (IQ) and operational qualification (OQ) of manufacturing equipment

  • Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environment

  • Background in a startup or high-growth environment where processes are still being built
