Consultant Pediatric Surgeon

Astra ProMed is seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Surgeon to join our dedicated medical team in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents, managing a wide range of congenital and acquired surgical conditions. Working in a multidisciplinary environment, the Consultant Pediatric Surgeon will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by employing advanced surgical techniques and ensuring comprehensive preoperative and postoperative management.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of pediatric surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and complex surgeries.
• Evaluate and diagnose surgical conditions in pediatric patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Provide preoperative counseling and postoperative follow-up to patients and their families.
• Ensure meticulous surgical documentation and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development activities.
• Mentor and train junior surgeons and medical staff within the pediatric surgical department.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with board certification in Pediatric Surgery.
• Valid UAE medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure to practice as a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon.
• Minimum of 5 years post-specialization experience in pediatric surgical practice.
• Proven expertise in managing a wide range of pediatric surgical conditions and performing complex surgical procedures.
• Strong clinical judgment, surgical skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate care and interact with patients and families.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, research, and adherence to ethical medical practice.
• Should have valid DOH registration or ready to aquire license.
