Schedule: Tuesday -Saturday 1:00pm-9:30pm

About the Entry-Level Diesel Mechanic/Technician Role  

As an Entry-Level Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you’ll be the trusted technician our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field-based role is perfect for entry-level technicians or recent tech school grads who are looking for an opportunity to launch their career and expand their skill set. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and light repairs on Class 6-8 trucks.

Where You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and light follow up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks in a field environment. 
  • Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance. 
  • Put your expertise to work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right. 
  • Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times. 
  • Jump in wherever needed – we're a team that supports each other. 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

  • At least 1-2 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks. 
  • DOT inspection and preventative maintenance expertise that keeps fleets rolling safely.  
  • Strong communication skills – you know how to connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike.  
  • Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.  
  • Ready for the outdoors – rain or shine at customer yards. 
  • Independent, dependable, and self-motivated – you take pride in getting the job done right. 
  • A positive attitude and safety-first mindset. 
  • Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.  
  • Bring your own hand tools and we’ll supply everything else. 

 

Work Environment 

 

  • Work in dynamic, high-traffic areas – safety and precision are key. 
  • Expect exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment. 
  • Safely handle chemicals, oils, and grease as part of repair work. 
  • Be ready to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components. 
  • Stay active – you'll bend, kneel, crawl, and crouch to access vehicle components.  
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions – rain or shine, our team gets it done.
