Senior Urban Planning Specialist

HanmiGlobal Saudi is seeking a highly qualified Senior Urban Planning Specialist to lead urban planning initiatives for diverse infrastructure and development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic plans, land-use policies, and sustainable urban designs that align with regulatory frameworks and client objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive urban plans, zoning policies, and land-use strategies.
• Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to inform planning decisions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, government authorities, and stakeholders to ensure integrated and effective urban development.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and planning documentation to support project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations and environmental standards.
• Lead public consultation processes and engage community stakeholders to incorporate feedback into planning initiatives.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior urban planners and team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Studies, or related field.
• A minimum of 15 years’ experience in urban planning, preferably within the infrastructure or construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of urban design principles, land-use planning, and regulatory frameworks in Saudi Arabia.
• Proficiency in GIS software, urban modeling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
• Working experience in PMC/PMO, Consultant Companies.
