As a Junior Account Logistics Manager at Convelio, you’ll take ownership of your own portfolio of shipments end-to-end, from quoting to delivery, with growing autonomy. This is the entry point into the ALM career path: a role designed to give you a strong foundation in art logistics, exposure to clients, and the tools to grow into a full Account Logistics Manager over time.
You’ll work side-by-side with experienced ALMs, learn from shipments and clients, and progressively take on more complex projects as your skills develop.
Execute shipments end-to-end
- First mile: Build solid knowledge of regular craters across the US and know where to find options
- Courier: Book Fedex and DHL independently, manage issue resolution, and choose the right service (overnight, express, ground) based on budget, deadline, fragility, and client.
- Exports: Process exports independently, including ITN generation for international shipments.
- Air cargo exports: Coordinate air cargo exports through freight forwarders — select the right service, align with destination agents, and lean on our supplier knowledge base.
- Imports: Coordinate directly with origin agents on flights into the US (cargo or courier), our US customs broker (e.g., Portside) when cargo, and last-mile truckers through to delivery (including white glove).
- Incident management: Support resolution of incidents, escalate to your manager when needed, and proactively suggest solutions — staying close to the shipment until it’s resolved.
- Professional communication: Keep client emails polished and professional, adapting to the tone of each account.
- Process improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements within the Account Management team as you learn.
Master Convelio’s tools and core processes
- Convelio systems management (email and transportation system): Maintain strong inbox management, low number of open conversations, rapid replies, convelio systems updated.
- Phone reactivity: React quickly to client calls and take a fair share of the team’s incoming calls on Aircall.
- Basic quoting: Produce and send to clients standard “straight algo” quotes and simple custom quotes via Customio.
