Nextep’s accounting clerks crunch important numbers, thrive under pressure, and collaborate closely with our other teams. They monitor payroll processing and verify every detail, making it smooth for our team and clients. If you have experience in accounting or payroll, are meticulous with numbers and data, and nerd out over getting every detail right, this could be the position for you!
About the role:
- The right person for this role should love lists and checking them twice, because they’ll be responsible for reviewing and clearing daily ACH history against bank statements.
- A typical day could include everything from monitoring outstanding checks and filing unclaimed property returns to assisting with reverse wires.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the general ledger system
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews by providing requested documentation and support
- Most importantly, this position requires a detail-oriented person who loves numbers.
Requirements
About you:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You have at least two years of related accounting experience or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
