RADIAS Health is hiring for MULTIPLE culutural consultants to join our Culture and Community Advisory comittee.

Position Legal Classification:  Independent Contractor, 1099 position

 

Rate of pay:  $65/hour - Services will be billed in 15-minute increments. 

Commitment: 

  • Participate in the RADIAS Health Culture and Community Advisory Committee meeting, which will typically be scheduled on a re-occur basis, every other month for 60-90 minutes.  Meetings will be held during the routine business hours, with the specific duration and frequency being determined after reviewing potential consultant availability.

 

  • Project specific tasks:  On an as needed basis, work on specific projects to support RADIAS Health’s Clinical and Operational teams.  

Scope of Services: 

 As a non-profit provider of community mental health services, RADIAS Health seeks feedback from community members to promote accessible, culturally responsive services related to clinical programming.  To aid in this process, the agency contracts with cultural consultants who represent a range of life experiences, demographic categories and cultural backgrounds of communities that RADIAS provides services to, either currently or as anticipated in the future.    

Scope of Responsibilities: The work completed by individual consultants is advisory only. Consultants will make recommendations, provide feedback, and give consultation that supports RADIAS Health in providing clinical services that are person-centered, culturally responsive and support the organizational value that “All are Welcome”.   

Duties & Responsibilities

Within the context of this contractual role, the following are examples of the type of work that will be performed:    

  • Routine engagement in agency Cultural and Community Advisory Committee meetings.  

 

  • Share insights and community perspectives on strategies for effectively engaging communities who may benefit from, or currently receiving, services.  

 

  • Provide feedback to the agency on services provided and potential modifications for RADIAS Health to consider to facilitate the delivery of culturally congruent and culturally responsive services.  

 

  • Share perceptions on factors that may influence disparities in service outcomes for service recipients.  

 

  • Provide feedback to the agency on identified areas for practice change.   

 

  • Discuss newly forming programs with a goal to have the committee recommend strategies for ensuring cultural competency is built into all aspects of the programs' policies and practices.  

 

  • Bring forth ideas for community engagement and assertive outreach for programs that are able to take direct referrals. 

 

 

  • Offer additional context to programs and teams on the communities they serve and the potential impact on the delivery of care. 

 

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to RADAIS Health on strategies for building and maintaining operational practices that support the delivery of services in a manner that meets the needs of the community. 

 

  • Based on the needs of RADIAS Health, and the skills and abilities of the contracted provider, additional work needed to facilitate the education and engagement of RADIAS employees and the individuals they serve may be negotiated throughout the course of this contractual work.   

 

  • Agency trainings:  Should the consultant be asked to develop or delivery agency trainings,  reimbursement will be negotiated in a separate contract.

Requirements

  • Experience completing agency or community needs assessment.
  • Experience developing and implementing change management processes.
  • Experience developing and delivering training.
  • Experience supporting or managing programming related to equity, diversity or inclusion.
  • Experience supporting an individual in their life through their recovery process
