Senior Account Executive, Brands

Posted 2 months ago

OfficeCharlotte, North Carolina, United StatesEX

Fastbreak AI is a cutting-edge SaaS company transforming the way sports organizations manage scheduling, operations, and revenue. Our AI-powered platform is trusted by the world's biggest leagues, teams, and event operators to streamline logistics and elevate the game experience.

Fastbreak Connect is our brand sports marketing business. We give organizations a direct channel to one of the most engaged, underutilized audiences in consumer marketing — the families, parents, and student-athletes who show up at youth and amateur sports events across the country. Through on-site activations and event operator assets, Connect turns tournaments, games, and leagues into a high-impact marketing channel. These consumers show up, they engage, and they remember who was there with them.

We're hiring a Senior Account Executive to sell to brand-side decision-makers — marketers, business development leaders, and executives, including CMOs and CEOs — at companies looking to build a meaningful presence and reach in the youth and amateur sports space.

This is a consultative, relationship-driven sale. You're not pitching ad placements — you're helping brands discover why youth and amateur sports are one of the most engaged, underutilized marketing channels available today, and then building the partnership that gets them in front of that audience. You'll own the full cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and close new brand partnerships. Identify and pursue companies whose growth strategy aligns with reaching families in youth sports — from national consumer brands to regional businesses with deep community roots.
  • Sell to senior decision makers. Navigate complex organizations to reach and influence the people who control marketing budgets and partnership strategy — CMOs, VPs of Marketing, BD leads, and sometimes the CEO.
  • Build a pipeline from the ground up. Own outbound prospecting through targeted outreach, referrals, industry events, and AI-powered lead tools. You build your business.
  • Consult, don't just pitch. Deeply understand each prospect's brand goals and consumer strategy, then design a marketing package that genuinely moves the needle for them.
  • Represent Fastbreak AI in the market. Show up at trade shows, sports industry events, and brand-side conferences as a credible voice on youth and amateur sports as a marketing channel and the reach our network delivers.
  • Manage your deals with precision. Keep your pipeline clean in Salesforce, forecast accurately, and move deals forward with intention.
  • Collaborate to win. Work closely with our operations and partnerships teams to ensure every deal you close is set up for success from day one.

Requirements

  • A self-starter who takes initiative. You don’t wait for direction. You proactively identify opportunities, solve problems, and move work forward without being asked.
  • A natural relationship builder. You earn trust quickly with senior buyers and know how to maintain relationships across a long sales cycle.
  • Fluent in brand marketing. You understand how companies think about consumer reach, brand equity, and ROI on sponsorship spend. You speak their language.
  • A confident, strategic prospector. You don't wait for leads — you go find the right companies, find the right person, and create the right conversation.
  • Polished under pressure. Whether you're in a boardroom or on a Zoom with a CMO, you show up prepared, sharp, and credible.
  • Curious about sports. You don't need to have played at a high level, but you should genuinely understand why sports matter to families — and why brands should care.
  • 6-8 years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling to marketing, brand, or business development teams
  • Experience selling to marketing and brand teams — sponsorship sales, media, experiential, or partnership development. You know how brand budgets get allocated and how to make the case for a new channel."
  • A track record of building a pipeline, hitting or exceeding quota in a new business or outbound-heavy role
  • Comfort selling to and communicating with senior executives
  • Scrappy, resourceful, and energized by the early stages of building something — you don't wait for the playbook, you help write it.
  • Salesforce proficiency, strong CRM discipline, and willingness to travel

Benefits

We're at an exciting stage — with proven technology, a growing customer base, and a brand-partnership business with an enormous runway. You'd be joining a small, focused sales team where your work is visible, your wins are celebrated, and your voice helps shape how we grow.

If you've been looking for a role that combines the energy of sports with the rigor of enterprise sales — and want to do it at a company genuinely changing how the industry operates — this is it. Here are some of our other benefits:

  • Competitive salary and commission, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance to keep you covered.
  • A 401(k) plan with employer contributions to invest in your future.
  • The opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing and well-funded company and make your mark.
