Octal Philippines Inc. is seeking a dedicated Field Technical Support professional to provide comprehensive on-site technical assistance to clients. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of technical issues related to IT assets including laptops, desktops, tablets, and printers.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance for IT assets (laptops, desktop PCs, tablets/iPads, and printers).
- Perform physical inspections and cleaning of devices to ensure optimal functioning.
- Carry out system health checks and update operating systems and firmware regularly.
- Manage software patching and antivirus monitoring to maintain security and performance.
- Maintain printers and update printer drivers as needed.
- Perform performance testing and document preventive maintenance activities.
- Provide timely technical support and escalate issues when necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience in technical support, preferably in a field service role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willingness to travel to various client locations as required.
