We are seeking a Mainframe Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise mainframe applications, supporting system enhancements, integrations, and production delivery within a collaborative technical team.
This is a 12-month full-time contract role based on-site in Darwin, NT.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe application code and supporting systems
- Assist in testing, debugging, and deployment of system changes
- Support integration and interface development across systems
- Participate in system release activities across development, test, and production environments
- Contribute to technical documentation and support materials
- Assist with issue resolution and production support activities
- Work collaboratively within project teams to deliver application enhancements
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in mainframe application development environments
- Knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, SQL, and related mainframe technologies
- Understanding of system development lifecycle and release processes
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Experience working in team-based delivery environments
- Basic understanding of integration and system interfaces
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn and develop technical capability
- Exposure to enterprise or government ICT environments is highly regarded
