Operations Supervisor

OfficeLA50k - 54k USD

At Coco Robotics, we’re dedicated to perfecting the last-mile delivery experience. We strongly believe the industry in its current state is massively under-serving merchants, so we’re building a frictionless, reliable, consistent, and sustainable solution for merchants and their customers in cities everywhere.

Schedule & Availability

This is not a 9 am–5 pm role. You must be prepared to work a flexible, non-traditional schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, to ensure seamless field coverage and rapid response to repairs.

Role Overview
As an Operations Supervisor at Coco, you will be the linchpin between our warehouse, field teams, and leadership. You’ll drive day-to-day execution of our Los Angeles market by overseeing fleet deployment, maintenance workflows, and data-backed process improvements. You are an analytical self-starter who can both roll up your sleeves and build scalable playbooks, and you’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and city leadership to keep Coco moving and growing.

What You’ll Do

  • City Operations & Routing: Partner with the City GM to design and optimize routes for new operating zones. Use real-time data to adjust plans and maintain fleet availability targets.

  • Field Supervision & Compliance: Lead, coach, and dispatch our field associates, drivers, and mechanics. Ensure all on-street activity meets Coco’s safety, quality, and service-level standards.

  • Maintenance Triage & Escalation: Oversee creation and prioritization of work orders for damaged robots/vehicles. Ensure technicians follow SOPs, validate work meets internal quality standards, and escalate critical issues to the MRO team.

  • Data-Driven Process Improvement: Analyze large data sets (fleet telemetry, repair logs, replenishment metrics) to identify inefficiencies. Build new operational playbooks and refine existing ones to scale with growth.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the “voice of the field” in engineering and product stand-ups. Surface system bugs, suggest feature enhancements, and validate fixes on-street.

  • Hands-On Support: Occasionally jump into charging, cleaning, and basic repairs to stay grounded in daily realities and mentor new associates.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Achieving 90%+ fleet uptime by proactively routing maintenance and rebalancing resources.

  • Streamlining work-order turnaround so that 90% of repairs are completed within expected time.

  • Launching at least two process improvements per quarter that measurably boost efficiency (e.g., reduce deadhead miles, shrink repair backlog).

  • Building a culture of ownership where field teams can self-diagnose and resolve common issues without escalation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bias for Action: You don’t wait to be told, you spot problems and move quickly to solve them.

  • End-to-End Operational Fluency: You understand every step from incoming inventory to on-street performance and can jump in at any point.

  • Project Management: Proven ability to juggle multiple workstreams (e.g., new zone launches, vendor coordination, headcount forecasting) and deliver on time.

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: You thrive in a scrappy, high-growth environment and find creative solutions when resources are limited.

Nice to Haves

  • Prior experience in micromobility, event industry, or field service operations.

  • Background in process-optimization frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).

  • Hands-on mechanical skills or technical certifications (EV maintenance, robotics diagnostics).

  • Strong communicator who can build partnerships with municipal partners and vendors.

Why You’ll Love Working at Coco

  • Real ownership of projects from day one

  • Rapid career growth as the company scales

  • Collaborative, tight-knit teams solving real-world challenges

  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and equity.
