About the Role

We're looking for a Frontend Intern to join Sarvam's engineering team and build polished, responsive interfaces for AI products used at population scale across India. You'll work directly with designers and backend engineers to ship user-facing features — from Figma to production. Strong performers will be fast-tracked to a full-time offer at the end of the internship. Preferred background: Computer Science, Design, or HCI.

What You'll Do

• Build responsive, production-grade UI components in React and React Native using TypeScript

• Consume and integrate REST APIs to connect frontend interfaces with backend services

• Translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, accessible UI with attention to detail

• Ensure cross-device and cross-browser compatibility for web and mobile interfaces

• Collaborate with designers and engineers to iterate quickly on product features

• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency in React and TypeScript — this is mandatory

• Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating them into frontend applications

• Solid understanding of responsive UI design and CSS fundamentals

• A portfolio of projects that demonstrates frontend skills (required)

• Background in Computer Science, Design, or Human-Computer Interaction preferred

Bonus Points

• Experience with React Native for mobile development

• Familiarity with Figma and working from design handoff

• Exposure to CSS frameworks such as Tailwind

• Prior internship or project work on a shipped product
