Experienced Freelance Audio Designer (6 Months Contract from July - Onsite)

Climax Studios was established over 30 years ago, we have an extensive history in developing all kinds of digital experiences across all formats, and we have won multiple awards along the way. You’ll be based out of our brand new, state of the art studio at Lakeside North Harbour set in stunning 130-acre landscaped grounds in Portsmouth.

We are looking for an experienced, fully onsite, freelance Audio Designer to join us on an exciting AAA project. This role involves designing and implementing all audio for a Sci-Fi Action Shooter. You will be responsible for all audio related to this project and ensuring we meet client expectations for the project.

Requirements

• Three years of experience (including at least one shipped title on PC or console)
• Experience creating sounds on a AAA project
• Excellent sound design skills and creative ability
• Proficiency with Wwise
• Proficiency with Reaper
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to hit deadlines
• A showreel demonstrating your sound design
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Produce audio content of the highest quality in a timely manner
• Provide creative, high-impact sound design
• Implement game-ready audio into Wwise
• Implement Wwise events into Unreal Engine
• Take feedback from the team and client to meet the expectations of the project
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure audio is delivered on time
