THE ROLE
Are you interested in leading an established property restoration and remediation company in South Florida as its next CEO? This full-service business provides 24/7 emergency water mitigation, mold remediation, fire restoration, and reconstruction services to residential and commercial clients. With a tenured field team, strong referral network, and growing national insurance restoration program, the company is positioned for continued growth. This role is ideal for an experienced restoration operator who has led field crews, managed insurance claims, owned a P&L, and thrives in a high-urgency, relationship-driven environment. The retiring owners will support a smooth transition, and the role offers a clear path to significant equity in the business over time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead operations across water mitigation, mold remediation, fire restoration, and reconstruction
Own the full P&L, including working capital across insurance reimbursement and cash payment cycles
Retain and develop the existing field team through the leadership transition, building trust with tenured technicians and office staff
Manage and grow relationships with insurance adjusters, carriers, and referral partners (plumbers, HVAC technicians, property managers)
Oversee insurance claims coordination, Xactimate estimating, and compliance with carrier program requirements
Develop the commercial client segment, an underdeveloped growth opportunity alongside the residential base
Optimize digital marketing and lead generation to improve ROI and expand inbound volume
Partner with American Operator on strategy, budgeting, and growth planning
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of hiring and firing responsibilities
5+ years of P&L ownership and management
Worked in restoration, remediation, or construction with direct operational exposure to emergency services
Navigated an insurance-driven revenue cycle, including AR management tied to carrier reimbursement timelines and coordination with adjusters
Held personal P&L accountability in a small business or business unit
Managed a field-based team in a small business environment, including hiring, performance management, and retention of skilled tradespeople
Operated in a fast-paced, emergency-response environment where urgency, judgment, and availability are non-negotiable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Mold Remediation License (MRSR) and/or Certified General Contractor License (CGC)
Built or grown relationships with insurance carrier programs, TPAs, or national restoration networks
Successfully navigated a leadership or ownership transition, inheriting a team and key relationships from a departing founder
Developed commercial clients or property management accounts alongside a primarily residential business
Generated home services leads through digital and local marketing
Fluent in Spanish
Compensation: Base salary starts at $120,000, with 20% annual bonus potential tied to performance. Health, dental, and vision insurance provided by the portfolio company. The package also includes distributions and equity that grows based on your ability to drive results — with a path to becoming a significant owner of the business you lead.
Location: Palm Beach County, FL. Relocation will be required if you are not currently in the region. The exact business location will be shared during the interview process.
