Shipping and Receiving / Delivery Driver (J&J Calibration)

J&J Calibration is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented team member to join us in a full-time Shipping & Receiving / Delivery Driver role. We are seeking a combination of warehouse, delivery, shipping, and clerical aptitude for this position.

No extensive experience required — just a great attitude, reliability, and a valid driver’s license!

What You’ll Do

In the Lab (Shipping & Receiving):
• Receive and check incoming equipment against work orders and packing lists
• Document equipment condition and flag any damage or missing parts
• Enter equipment info into our system and generate work orders
• Apply labels, barcodes, and tracking tags to keep everything organized
• Communicate with customers and team members about any discrepancies
• Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and safe

On the Road (Delivery Driver):
• Drive our company vehicle to pick up and deliver customer equipment
• Follow planned routes and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries
• Handle equipment carefully and follow all traffic laws
• Keep the vehicle clean and do basic upkeep (tire pressure, oil checks)
• Represent J&J Calibration with friendly, professional customer service

Clerical & Administrative Support:
• Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records
• Support front-office tasks including answering phones and coordinating with internal teams
• Help prepare shipping documentation, invoices, and customer correspondence
• Maintain organized logs for incoming and outgoing shipments

What We’re Looking For
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail — accuracy matters here!
• Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs
• Comfortable driving in varying weather and route conditions
• Basic computer/data entry skills
• Prior experience in warehouse, delivery, shipping, or clerical/office work is a plus — but we’re happy to train the right person!
