Salary: Circa £30,000 gross per annum (37.5 hours per week)
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our estates team supporting a group of care homes.
This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and ensuring our homes remain safe and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
General Maintenance
- Carry out reactive repairs and planned maintenance tasks
- Work through site maintenance logs and complete jobs efficiently
- Carry out basic works including:
- Plumbing repairs
- Joinery
- Decorating
- General building maintenance
Site Support
- Support multiple care homes across Dundee and surrounding areas
- Work closely with home managers and staff
- Maintain a high standard of presentation and safety across sites
Planned Maintenance
- Support routine checks and maintenance tasks
- Assist with compliance-related activities where required
On-Call
- Participate in a shared on-call rota (approx. 1 week in 3)
- Attend emergency call-outs when required
Requirements
About You
- Practical, hands-on maintenance experience
- Good all-round DIY / multi-trade skills
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Positive and proactive attitude
Desirable
- Previous experience in care homes or facilities
- Basic knowledge of health & safety
Essential
- Driving licence (essential)
