Role Overview

Product Manager – AI

Location: Remote

Team: Product & Operations

This isn’t a typical PM role.

You’ll own how AI shows up across RemotePass — from early experiments to real, production-grade features used by customers navigating complex global payroll, compliance, and payments.

The challenge isn’t just “adding AI.” It’s making it actually useful in messy, high-stakes workflows where accuracy matters.

You’ll be working directly with the CEO, engineers, and operators to figure out:

  • What should be automated vs. controlled
  • How users interact with complex data through AI
  • Where AI genuinely reduces friction (and where it shouldn’t exist)

A lot of this is not defined yet. That’s the point.

What you’ll do;

  • Define and drive the AI product direction — not just features, but how it fits into the core platform
  • Work closely with engineering to ship, test, and iterate quickly
  • Get deep into user problems (payroll, compliance, ops) and turn ambiguity into clear product decisions
  • Make trade-offs between speed, accuracy, and trust in AI-driven workflows
  • Take products from early-stage → usable → scalable
  • Act as the bridge between technical capability and real-world use cases

Requirements

What we’re looking for;

  • You’ve built and shipped products in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • You’re comfortable working on AI/data-heavy products (you don’t need to be an ML expert, but you get the space)
  • You care about solving real problems, not just shipping features
  • You can operate at both levels: thinking strategically and getting into the detail
  • You’re comfortable with things being undefined — and making them defined

Nice to have:

  • Experience in fintech, HRTech, or other complex operational domains
  • Exposure to LLMs, automation, or AI tooling in production environments
