Job Title: Engineer Electrical Reliability **INTERNAL APPLICATIONS ONLY** **THIS IS AN INTERNAL ROLE ONLY**

Location: Any UK Site

Our Vision & Why It Matters

At Alexander Dennis, our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility.

We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you’re engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.

What You’ll Do
As an Engineer Electrical Reliability, you’ll manage assigned electrical and software reliability projects, working across the business to identify root causes of failures and deliver robust, verified engineering solutions.

You’ll contribute to design changes, testing, and validation activities to maintain vehicle specifications and improve long‑term reliability. Working closely with Engineers, Principal Engineers, suppliers, and customers, you’ll support containment, service, and production solutions that meet both business and customer requirements.

This role offers exposure across vehicle platforms, advanced electrical systems, and emerging technologies, including EV architectures.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a motivated electrical or systems engineer with experience working in structured engineering environments, ideally within automotive or similarly complex industries. You’ll be confident managing projects, analysing data, and applying structured problem‑solving techniques to deliver effective reliability improvements.

You’ll bring strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with multi‑disciplinary teams.

Bonus if you have:

Experience in automotive engineering, vehicle manufacture, or aftermarket environments

Exposure to EV systems, high‑voltage architectures, or advanced electrical integration

Proficiency with Solid Edge, E3, Teamcenter, or similar CAD / PLM systems

Six Sigma Green Belt or experience using 8D or similar problem‑solving methodologies
