We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to support our Federal Sector projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections to ensure all construction activities comply with federal standards, project specifications, and safety requirements. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can accurately document findings and work collaboratively with project teams to uphold the highest quality standards.
Requirements
Qualifications / Skills
- Minimum 10 years of construction quality assurance experience in the AEC industry.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s or Trade School degree accepted. Degree requirement may be waived with extensive related experience.
- Required certifications: USACE CQM and OSHA 30 (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, QA/QC procedures, and safety compliance.
- Experience with inspections, deficiency tracking, testing coordination, and documentation management.
- Ability to review contractor reports, submittals, schedules, and change orders.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with contractors, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in daily reporting systems such as eBuilder and Microsoft Office tools.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Conduct daily jobsite inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Monitor workmanship, materials, housekeeping, and subcontractor activities on-site.
- Maintain QA/QC tracking logs including RFIs, deficiencies, testing, and inspections.
- Coordinate and observe third-party testing and inspections.
- Review contractor reports, shop drawings, submittals, and work action plans for accuracy and compliance.
- Document project progress through daily reports, workforce logs, and photo documentation.
- Attend coordination, QA/QC, and safety meetings with project stakeholders.
- Track project progress, identify deficiencies, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support pay application reviews, change order evaluations, and punch list inspections.
- Ensure contractors follow approved QC plans, safety requirements, and preparatory meetings.
