Preconstruction & Design Project Manager - Federal Sector

We are currently seeking a dedicated Preconstruction & Design Project Manager for the Federal Sector to join our talented team. This role involves leading preconstruction activities, coordinating design efforts, and managing client expectations to ensure successful project delivery for federal government clients.

Requirements

Qualifications/ Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing design and capital improvement projects.

  • Experience supporting renovations, modernization, and infrastructure upgrades in occupied facilities.

  • Knowledge of design delivery processes, construction coordination, project controls, and stakeholder management.

  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in federal, institutional, or large commercial environments preferred.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED, RA, or PE are a plus.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Manage multiple concurrent capital improvement and renovation projects from planning and design through construction support and closeout.

  • Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and compliance with client standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead design reviews, stakeholder meetings, and project coordination efforts in occupied and operational facilities.

  • Review design documents for constructability, completeness, and alignment with program objectives.

  • Support procurement activities, risk management, reporting, and executive-level project updates.

  • Collaborate with construction management teams to resolve issues and maintain project continuity throughout execution.
