Position Overview
The Traffic Control Person / Lane Technician at Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic around construction sites. This role plays a critical part in maintaining public safety and minimizing traffic disruptions during project execution. The successful candidate will implement traffic management plans and communicate effectively with the team and the public.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers in accordance with project requirements and safety standards.
- Implement and monitor traffic management plans to safely direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones.
- Communicate with site supervisors, workers, and the public to ensure smooth traffic flow and address concerns.
- Observe and report any hazards or incidents related to traffic control immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports and traffic control documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in traffic control or lane technician roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of traffic control devices, signage, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle physical tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary.
