UX Lead (Resolver)

Posted 2 months ago

OfficeBoston, Massachusetts, United StatesSE

We're redefining how robots are deployed. Our platform enables users to simulate, test, and optimize entire robotic systems in parallel. By removing the barriers that have kept advanced robotics out of reach for all but the largest players, we're ushering in a new era of manufacturing—one where mass reshoring is not only viable, but inevitable.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role owns usability, workflows, and user understanding across Resolver. The focus is on deeply understanding how users actually work and ensuring the product reflects that with minimal friction. This is a UX-first role with strong design execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own user understanding: Develop deep insight into how integrators, engineers, and OEM users actually work; identify gaps between product and reality
  • Drive workflows: Define clear, efficient ways users accomplish core tasks; reduce cognitive load and unnecessary complexity
  • Shape product decisions: Partner with PMs and Engineering across multiple product areas; act as the authority on user experience and workflow design
  • Translate complexity: Turn highly technical capabilities into intuitive interaction models; prevent internal complexity from leaking to users
  • Execute design: Produce wireframes and high-fidelity designs; ensure clarity and usability in shipped UI
  • Establish standards: Define interaction patterns and ensure consistency across the product(s)
  • Close the loop: Gather user feedback (research, customer teams), validate workflows, and drive continuous usability improvements

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Strong UX thinking: user workflows, mental models, and usability in complex systems
  • Hands-on design experience experience (wireframes → high-fidelity)
  • Experience with complex B2B or technical products
  • Ability to work closely with Product and Engineering in ambiguous environments
  • High ownership; able to independently drive clarity and outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial, robotics, simulation, or CAD-like software experience
  • Experience designing for expert users (engineers, integrators)
  • Background in usability, human factors, or workflow design

Travel/Location

    • Hybrid in Greater Boston (2–3 days/week on-site)
    • Limited, targeted travel for customer insight and validation

Benefits

  • Competitive Healthcare Coverage
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Commuting Expenses Covered
  • Telecommunications Stipend
  • 401k Match
  • HSA Employer Contribution
