Team & Role Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled financial markets solutioning expert to join First Street as part of our Solutions Engineering & Client Success team. In this role, you will work closely with our product and science teams to bridge the gap between technical capability and client business needs.
This position requires a combination of deep experience in the asset owner and asset manager space, or at a SaaS company selling into these organizations, along with investment analysis expertise, a sales mindset, and a strong understanding of how climate model outputs are integrated into financial and investment decisions. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will support our account executives and clients as a trusted technical partner, translating our product into actionable business insights, guiding clients on adoption, and collaborating closely with our climate science, economics, product, and data teams to shape product requirements and ensure effective client implementation.
You will report directly to the Director of Enterprise Solutions, working closely with the sales team to understand client needs, provide technical support during the sales process, influence the evolution of our product roadmap, and ensure that our solutions are effectively developed and implemented to meet the requirements of asset owners and managers.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with account executives to understand client business need / pain points, and provide technical support and analytical solutioning throughout the sales process
Act as a subject matter expert for all internal and external stakeholders to help guide solutions in a way that will resonate with investors and financial organizations
Perform live demonstrations of the First Street Enterprise Suite software solution to showcase its capabilities in real time, working with account executives to tailor presentations and product demonstrations to address business needs and use cases, highlighting the value and capabilities of First Street’s solutions
Prepare and validate datasets provided by clients, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Assist in the preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and other technical sales materials
Address technical questions related to data delivery mechanisms, API integrations, and data formats to ensure smooth and efficient implementation for clients
Build sales materials with the support of our marketing team that translate our product capabilities into actionable business outcomes for our clients
Work closely with First Street’s climate science, economics, data, and software engineering teams to understand and effectively communicate the technical aspects of our products, as well as to provide feedback from clients that directly impact our roadmap
Respond to client inquiries regarding our data product, providing clear and detailed explanations of data fields, methodologies, and appropriate usage
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at client organizations
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and advancements in climate science and technology to effectively support the sales team
Travel as required to meet with clients and support sales efforts which would include representing First Street at public events
What you’ll need:
5+ years experience in investment or financial organizations, with hands-on experience performing climate risk assessments, investment analysis, and other forms of climate risk modeling.
Established knowledge of real asset and public equity investments and how climate risk impacts these businesses.
The ability to understand and communicate complex climate scenario & climate science concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
Curiosity and willingness to learn about climate change and First Street’s product offerings
Education minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience

Proficiency with CRM and other sales tooling.
Advanced financial credentials such as CFA, MBA, or equivalent certifications that underscore your expertise and commitment to excellence in the financial industry
An analytical mindset with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions
Demonstrated success in supporting sales efforts and driving technical implementation
Strong research skills and the ability to quickly gather and synthesize information about client requirements and market trends
Our anticipated US base salary compensation range for this role is $100,000-$140,000 with target bonus equal to 25% base salary plus competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as work location as well as additional factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and relevant education.
