You'll join a dynamic, cross-functional team with expertise from across various ministries, Open Government Products, VM Ware Tanzu, Carousell, Shopee and Kaidee. We want you to make impact from Day 1 with your policy and ops sensibilities, ability to navigate government and all-around can-do spirit.
You will:
- Pair with our Product Manager to understand product thinking, rapid prototyping, and tech-enabled solution delivery. Work directly with users (recruiters, hiring managers, and HR business partners) to test prototypes and gather feedback
- Shape the broader strategic direction for HR innovations, starting with recruitment, movements and performance management
- Help a core tech team systematically and tactically unblock policy and process blockers
- Navigate a complex government stakeholder landscape to get buy-in from senior management, and drive adoption of innovative HR approaches on the ground
- Do whatever it takes, including getting hands dirty on non-glorious ops, paper writing and decking, to ensure the operating rhythm and management reporting
- Take on stretch assignments that leverage the team's integrated approach to solve previously intractable HR challenges
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years in Singapore Government, policy experience a big plus
- Strong interest in tech and innovation, especially in product management
- Helicopter ability. You see the big picture and can get into the operational details
- Strong stakeholdering ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups, from policy, ops, tech, to different seniorities
- Strong communicator who can code-switch between government policy, business needs and technical requirements
- Problem solver with a bias for action. No such thing as “not my job”. You roll up your sleeves to get things done, and new things energise you
- Collaborative and growth mindset. You're excited to work closely with a Product Manager, learning through pairing and hands-on delivery. You're open to feedback, willing to try new approaches, and committed to continuous improvement
Key Competencies Required
- [Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgements]: Strong analytical, critical and strategic thinking abilities. Able to work with ambiguity and loosely defined problem spaces, and investigate to sense-make, propose and implement sound and timely solutions. You would be required to analyse issues and trends, propose actions or solutions and manage end-to-end activities for policy intervention.
- [Working Effectively with Stakeholders]: Work closely with other internal and external stakeholders, to understand their context and collaborate effectively on implementing pilot initiatives. Influence and mobilise all parties to see beyond individual goals towards a collective purpose, and co-create solutions for the common good of improving workplace experience for public officers.
