About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Support Officer to join our Marine team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role involves working closely with the Assistant Operations Manager, Operations Experience Manager and Workforce Planner to streamline processes and maintain accurate records. You will oversee document control and asset compliance certificate management, ensuring that all necessary documentation is maintained and up to date. Additionally, this role will involve tracking staff qualifications and training requirements..

Key responsibilities include but not limited:

  • Implement and monitor document control processes, ensuring proper storage, retrieval, and compliance of important documents.
  • Maintain and update asset compliance certificates, collaborating with third parties for audits while supporting the procurement process for new assets as required.
  • Conduct data entry for third-party invoices.
  • Proved support for Marine recruitment, onboarding and related processes.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for urgent roster amendments during Workforce Planning absence. Adhering to safe manning requirements.

 

About You

You are a detail-oriented professional with extensive expertise in administrative and compliance roles. Your strong communication skills and ability to liaise successfully with various stakeholders make you a vital team member. You are trustworthy and reliable, adept at managing sensitive information and ensuring compliance.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Detailed expertise and the ability to readily absorb new technical information.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as autonomously.
  • High attention to detail and strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple task.

Requirements

  • Advanced excel skills;
  • Strong MS Office knowledge;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in a similar administration role;
  • HLTAID011: Provide First Aid and CPR (desirable);
  • Marine tourism background (preferred).
