About the Role

As a Lead Insight Analyst, you will be the technical lead for TEG’s analytics output, ensuring our data storytelling meets a state-of-the-art standard of accuracy and impact. In this hands-on role, you will oversee end-to-end workstreams, transforming complex data exploration into executive-ready strategic narratives.

Working with Data & Analytics leadership, you will provide the SQL mastery and technical mentorship required to elevate the team’s craft without direct people management. Your goal is to institutionalize best practices in reporting and visualization, providing the rigorous insights necessary to drive a data-driven culture across our global live entertainment business.

Requirements

Outcomes to Deliver

  • Insight Delivery Oversight: oversee the end-to-end analytics workstreams to ensure that insights are accurate, timely, and aligned with strategic business priorities.
  • Technical Mentoring: Serve as the technical lead and mentor, providing guidance on SQL, visualization, and advanced methodologies without the responsibility of direct people management.
  • Hands-on Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis on complex customer, commercial, and digital datasets to solve high-priority business challenges.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Develop compelling narratives and executive-ready dashboards that translate multi-channel data into actionable strategies for senior leadership.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure data integrity and provide insights for tactical decision-making.
  • Best Practice Leadership: Define and promote standards for data visualization and reporting to ensure consistent, professional output across the insights function.

About you

Capabilities to Bring

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a data-heavy environment, ideally within entertainment, e-commerce, or retail.
  • A tertiary degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Data Science).
  • Proven record of going beyond simple reporting to deliver strategic insights that drive commercial growth.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the wider data ecosystem, including data science and ML methodologies.
  • Have expert-level knowledge of SQL and use of tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to create high-performance, intuitive dashboards.
  • Experience using hands-on guidance and standard-setting to elevate a team's technical abilities.
  • The ability to transform complex data into clear stories that focus on "the why" behind the numbers and turn vague business questions into structured, actionable analytical projects.
