About the Client
- Our client is a growing investment and venture platform supporting venture funds, investors, and the broader startup ecosystem. Through its fund management and venture initiatives, the group works closely with fund managers, founders, and capital partners across Australia and internationally.
- As part of its continued growth, the team is actively building its flagship VC fund of funds and expanding its investment activities.
- This internship offers hands-on exposure to investment research and the venture capital ecosystem within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
About the Role
Research & Analysis
- Conduct research on venture capital funds, managers, and market trends
- Gather and summarise data on fund strategies, performance, and portfolios
- Prepare research notes and comparison materials across funds and managers
- Support internal research across the venture and investment landscape
Data & Financial Analysis
- Build and maintain Excel-based analysis and comparison models
- Work with quantitative data sets and financial information
- Assist in preparing numerical and research-based internal reports
- Organise and maintain research and due diligence materials
Investment Team Support
- Assist with collecting and reviewing information from fund managers
- Support internal investment and portfolio reporting
- Contribute to ad-hoc analytical and research tasks as required
About You
- Final year student in finance, economics, commerce, mathematics, or similar
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- High proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with data
- Detail-oriented and structured in your thinking
- Curious about investments, funds management, or venture capital
- Proactive, reliable, and willing to learn
- Able to work independently in a small, fast-moving team
- Previous venture capital or investment experience is not required. Strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are most important.
