We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist to join one of the premier healthcare facilities in the UAE. The successful candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating rheumatic diseases and autoimmune conditions in children. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment focused on delivering comprehensive care to pediatric patients with complex rheumatologic conditions. As a Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist, you will lead clinical care, research, and education efforts within the pediatric rheumatology department.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, and other musculoskeletal disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating medication, physical therapy, and supportive care to improve patient outcomes.
- Work closely with pediatricians, immunologists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated multidisciplinary care.
- Educate patients and their families about the nature of rheumatic diseases, treatment options, and disease management strategies.
- Engage in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement programs within pediatric rheumatology.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior medical staff and contribute to continuous professional development activities.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric rheumatology and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical care.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialist training in Pediatric Rheumatology from a recognized institution.
- Valid UAE medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure to practice pediatric rheumatology.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist or in a similar role.
- Strong clinical expertise in managing diverse pediatric rheumatic and autoimmune disorders.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care specific to pediatric populations.
