Consultant Neurology Epileptology

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Consultant Neurologist specializing in Epileptology to join our hospitals in UAE. The successful candidate will focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of epilepsy and other seizure disorders in both pediatric and adult patients. This role offers an opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary setting, collaborating closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients with epilepsy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnosis of epilepsy and related neurological disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools such as EEG and video-EEG monitoring to guide treatment decisions.
• Manage pre-surgical evaluations and coordinate with neurosurgical teams when necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding epilepsy management and lifestyle considerations.
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives in the field of epileptology.
• Mentor and train junior medical staff and contribute to professional development activities.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialty training in Neurology and further sub-specialization in Epileptology.
• Valid UAE medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure to practice as a Consultant Neurologist with expertise in Epileptology.
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and seizure disorders.
• Proficiency in performing and interpreting EEG and other neurodiagnostic procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
• Strong ethical standards and dedication to maintaining up-to-date knowledge in epileptology.
